“600K Records Stolen From Health Care Firms”
American health care institutions were infiltrated by a group of attackers who stole at least 600,000 patient records. According to a report set to be released this week from security firm InfoArmor, the attackers attempted to sell more than 3 terabytes of associated data. Andrew Komarov, chief intelligence officer at InfoArmor, noted that the hacker he investigated was able to compromise different types of health care institutions not just hospitals.
