“600K Records Stolen From Health Care Firms”

American health care institutions were infiltrated by a group of attackers who stole at least 600,000 patient records.  According to a report set to be released this week from security firm InfoArmor, the attackers attempted to sell more than 3 terabytes of associated data.  Andrew Komarov, chief intelligence officer at InfoArmor, noted that the hacker he investigated was able to compromise different types of health care institutions not just hospitals.  The National Healthcare and Public Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center was informed about the attack by Andrew Komarov.  For the full article, click here
