Finding a proactive and affordable solution for IT support can be troublesome, but it really comes down to two options. You can hire someone internally or a managed service provider (MSP) like us. Hiring an internal technician can be great as they can be integrated to work closely with other employees within the organization. However, there are some downsides to this approach. Who will cover and fix issues when the tech is on vacation or sick leave for example. Also, if the issue lies outside of that person’s general knowledge who will they turn to for additional support. And of course if a catastrophic event happens that affects the entire network or different aspects of the network you have only the one tech trying to fix everything and are limited to the speed at which they can get it done.
MSP’s can quickly respond to most issues as most problems can be resolved remotely and don’t require someone to be on site. Depending on your agreement a technician can be sent to your location to respond to issues that require on-site support within a predetermined time.
As there are multiple technicians working at an MSP, issues that are beyond the scope of knowledge of one technician can be handled by another, and you usually have a broader scope of experience and expertise because of it. You don’t have to worry about paying for vacations, sick days, holidays, benefits or worry about not having a technician available when you need one.
